100 Mile Wild

The What:

From February 23rd til March 3rd, our hardy crew of three traveled the length of northern Maine's 100-Mile Wilderness on the Appalachian Trail. From Monson to Abol Bridge, the 100MW is considered by many to be the most rugged and remote section of the AT. From all the research we've done, it looks like we might have been the first group to complete this thing in its entirety in the middle of winter.

The Why:

Simply put, to chase adventure. We live in a world where nature deficit disorder is a thing. It's hard to learn who we are when we're constantly barraged with what everyone else is doing. Seeking out wild places is primal, and key to our survival as a species. Connecting with nature, through human-powered endeavors, is time well spent. We all need more.
